“Pen Sale”
We
are going to try a different way of marking, market kids and lambs. Marking
the kids and lambs this way will allow us to sell the market kids and lambs
with less labor and will also allow the order buyers to buy in volume
translating into higher prices for the producers.
The process is
very simple, animals will be received around 9:00 a.m. Saturday November 15,
2008 to 1:30 p.m. Biding will start around 10:00 a.m.
Step # 1
Kids/Lambs will be unloaded and sorted by size and quality.
Step # 2 Buyers
will bid on the pen of kids or lambs. (Bids will be turned in on cards to
the sale management)
Step # 3 High
bidder will buy the pen.
Step # 4 Sale
management will pay the producers.
Step # 5
Producers will go on their way with check in hand.
Selling animals
this way is more economical and faster. The sale management is passing the
savings on to you the producer. The sale fee will be a flat $5.00 per head.
This INCLUDES, yardage, commission and insurance. This sale will save the
producer on the average of about $2.00 per head.

fairgrounds in Hope, Arkansas.
